What makes this ring especially meaningful is the story behind the stones. The opals were mined by our father in the renowned Grasshopper field at Mintabie in 1990, making this a beautiful piece of our family’s opal-mining history. More than three decades later, these treasured Australian opals have been carefully brought together in a contemporary handcrafted design.

Each free-form crystal opal has been individually selected for its character and natural colour, then securely claw set within the flowing sterling silver design. The different shapes and orientations of the opals create a sense of movement, allowing their flashes of colour to catch the light from every angle.
