      1. Do you do provide a Certificate of Authenticity?

          Yes! River Gemz can provide a Certificate of Authenticity when requested.

           2 . Where do your opals come from?

    River Gemz opals are all natural and come from various mines around Australia including Mintabie, Coober Pedy, Andamooka, Lightning Ridge, Winton etc.

    3.  Do you have black opal?

    Yes! At River Gemz we have black opal along with white opal, boulder opal and crystal opal available unset or set in jewellery. 

     4.  How are the purchases packaged?

    All River Gemz jewellery is packaged in a high quality velvet jewellery box or pouch.

    5. What is a natural opal?

    A natural opal is millions of years old and has been sourced from the ground whereas a synthetic opal is weeks old and has been manufactured in a laboratory. The different types of opals are explained in greater detail and summarised in a diagram given in the blog.

    6. How do you care for opal?

    Natural opals should be managed as you would other precious gems ie. avoid knocks and contact with harsh chemicals, whereas further caution is needed with composite opals [doublets and triplets]. More detailed information on the best way to look after your opal is given in the blog.

    7.  Do you do repairs?

    Yes River Gemz has the expertise to, for example, replace lost/damaged opals in jewellery.

    8. Do you do valuations?

    Yes River Gemz has the expertise to value your opals and opal jewellery.

    What is your shipping policy?

    We send all our purchases by registered express post using Australia Post.

    Deliveries:

    • within Australia generally take 3-5 working days and are free of charge.
    • internationally allow between 7-30 days and are free of charge.

    Am I able to return my product?

    We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
