How to work out your ring size?
Before you buy a ring online, it's essential to ensure that you're selecting the perfect ring size. The River Gemz website conveniently displays ring sizes in Australian/UK, US/Canada, and EU measurements. To make the process easier for you, we have compiled a full ring size conversion chart that you can refer to for accurate sizing.
Why Ring Size Matters
Selecting the right ring size is crucial to ensure that your new jewellery piece fits comfortably and securely on your finger. Ill-fitting rings can be uncomfortable to wear and may even risk slipping off or feeling too tight. By determining your accurate ring size, you can enjoy your River Gemz ring without any worries.

How to Determine Your Ring Size
Measuring your ring size is a simple process that you can do at home. All you need is a piece of string, a ruler, and the ring size conversion chart provided. Here's a quick guide on how to measure your ring size accurately:
- Wrap a piece of string around your finger: Make sure it's not too tight or too loose, just comfortably snug. Try using a piece of string that isn't too stretchy as that might cause an error in measurement.
- Mark where the string overlaps: Use a pen to mark the point where the string meets.
- Measure the length of the string: Use a ruler to measure the length from the end of the string to the marked point.
- Refer to the conversion chart: Match the measured length with the corresponding ring size in the conversion chart to determine your size.
NOTE: We do not offer ring resizing services. However, a qualified jeweller with experience working with opals may be able to assist. Please note that not all opal ring styles are suitable for resizing. For instance, inlay opal rings cannot be resized, while some bezel-set styles may be adjusted. Claw-set opal rings can typically be resized by one or two sizes only.
